About Me

Portrait of Sean Hale

I started my coding career in 2013 with the Minecraft mod ComputerCraft, learning to automate various elements of the game with Lua, I quickly made the jump to Java to start making my own Minecraft mods. Once I'd had my fill of Java and Forge I moved to Python to start to automate solving my homework while in highschool. In 2018 I started developing websites and fullstack applications both as a freelancer as well as during an internship in Washington DC. In 2019 I started my degrees at RPI where I began to toy with machine learning algorithms and implemented an instance of Google's AlphaZero algorithm for Connect4. Today I am a software engineering manager and lead UI/UX developer at Baker Tilly where I develop the ReIP platform. ReIP is an extensible framework and plugin system that allows for the same base UI application to be shared across not only multiple application instances for multiple clients, but across multiple disciplines for entirely different business sectors from equity management to healthcare auditing
